AIDS 2020; Virtual Conference Communique

Our AIDS 2020; Virtual work is highlighting refugee-related resilience. We shall present abstracts are on various topics under the AIDS Conference tracks.

 The abstract, numbered C-AIDS2020-11159 and titled "COVID-19 and politics: Increased visibility of refugees through participatory community activities provides radical resilience and protective safety nets: Study of Kitengela, Kajiado county, Kenya, May 2020", was  selected for presentation in the virtual poster exhibition at the COVID-19 Conference taking place on 10-11 July 2020. The abstract numbered/Reference A-AIDS2020-10165, titled: "Reasons why younger queer face vulnerability and risks while seeking asylum in Kenya: Studying three safe spaces, August 2019-January 2020," was selected for presentation in the virtual poster exhibition at the 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020: Virtual), to be held on 6-10 July 2020.  Abstract, titled "Estimation of queer refugee quality of life goals in urban-based safe spaces of Kenya, August 2019-December 2019: Informing services targeting queer refugees" to be presented at the virtual poster exhibition is abstract number is PEF1771.  The AIDS 2020: Virtual Global Village and Youth Programme selected our Networking Zone for inclusion at the 23rd International AIDS Conference, which will be held virtually from 6th to 10th July 2020. Activity title: "Refugees Can Contribute to Host Community Development: Reach Out To, Consult Them Too" Activity type: Networking Zone Activity reference no.: G-AIDS2020-10317  

 AIDS 2020 Status: We had researched, generated and developed many more abstracts on very diverse topics on: Universal Health Coverage; End to TB/HIV/Malaria by 2030 integrating COVID-19 Response; Elimination of violence against women+; Promoting Awareness about UN Observances to continue the conversation around link to quality life practices; and various participatory prevention techniques or shared experiences.

AIDS Conference: We have the venue prepared for the AIDS 2020; Virtual Conference. We are connected via the internet; we need to arrange the venue so that it is accessible from 5th July 2020-11th July 2020; we shall have a poster display area and table at which materials are displayed.
